5. The Queens Head Hotel, Rothbury
If you’re looking for a place to take Mum this year, chefs at the Queen's Head Hotel in Rothbury have been whipping up a delightful three-course menu for her to enjoy this Mother’s Day.

Find the hidden waterfall Linhope Spout, get your own snap of Sycamore Gap (the most photographed tree in the UK) or hike along Hadrians Wall. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to The Sill’s Mother’s Day Fair where local tipple tasters, stalls filled to the brim with delicious local foods and gift-making lessons from the Ranger Team await. 7. Battlesteads, Wark
Don’t just buy a bunch of flowers, make one yourself at Battlestead’s floristry event. The workshop is led by Kate Norris from Northumbrian Flowers, the artisan flower farm that specialises in seasonal, sustainable and stunning floristry. After a demo, you and mum can take to the task of making your own arrangement, personalised with your favourite flowers which you can then take home with you.
