Senior group members of the Alnwick Playhouse Youth Theatre are preparing to tackle their last big production of the year.
The extremely popular group, which has been performing shows for more than 15 years, has been making plans since September to present The Addams Family: The Musical.
The youngsters are among the first in the country to stage the show since amateur licensing became available.
Its story centres on Wednesday Addams who has fallen in love with a young man from a respectable family. However, he has never met her parents and she never wants him to.
She confides in her father Gomez, but swears him to secrecy. However, everything changes the night both families get together for dinner. When they arrive for dinner, under protest, Wednesday states that the whole family must try to act normal so they can all enjoy a simple meal, but all does not go to plan.
The production is being staged under the direction of Sarah McLane and Jo Potts.
Peter Brown makes a return as musical director and Joanne Burn is leading the choreography.
The musical will take to the stage of The Alnwick Playhouse tomorrow and Saturday, at 7pm, with a matinee performance at 2pm on the Saturday.
Tickets cost £8.50 premier, and £7.50 standard.
