Star as Joseph's brothers

The search is on to find the cast for the north's first production of Joseph And His Technicolor Dreamcoat using adult actors.

Until now, only the children’s version of the show or the professional tour could be seen.

But Beaconsfield Operatic Society has been given permission to perform the full London Palladium score to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice production.

Liam Grahame Olsen, from Hexham, will play Joseph, and now the team is looking for his band of brothers.

The society, which is based in Blyth, is looking for boys who can sing and move, aged 17 to 35, to be amongst the first amateurs in the country to star in this exciting musical.

If you think you have got what it takes, email Susan Laws at [email protected] with details of your name, age, the area you live in and any past experience of stage work.

It’s time for budding actors to make their own technicolor dreams come true.

Star Liam was given his technicolor coat under Newcastle’s Grey’s Monument, which has been turned into a huge, colourful maypole in an installation created by Zoe Walker and Neil Bromwich as part of the Great Exhibition of The North.

Audiences can see the show on stage in October.
