Fresh off a well-received tour of a well-known fairy tale, an Alnwick-based theatre group is heading on the road with a quartet of new plays.
Northumberland Theatre Company (NTC) is returning to its popular four-play format at the end of this month with 4Thoughts: Myth, music, mayhem and mirth.
The company promises four very different plays from four very different writers in an evening not to be ‘mythed’.
For those that have never seen one of the performances before, they always offer something for everyone with pieces ranging from the light and comic to the serious and tragic, while showcasing some of the best, up-and-coming theatre-writing talent.
The four plays this year are Yan Tan Tehthera by Alice Dobie, Undercover by Patrick Hughes, The Arrangement by Alan Bell and Hedging Your Bets by Beccy Smith.
This rollercoaster ride of emotions and laughter makes its debut at the Alnwick Playhouse on Thursday, February 26, and Friday, February 27, at 7.30pm, before heading out on tour across the North East and Scottish Borders.
Other dates for 4Thoughts include Morpeth Town Hall on Saturday, February 28, Glanton Memorial Hall on Tuesday, March 10, Longhorsley Village Hall on Wednesday, March 11, Bamburgh Pavilion on Saturday, March 14, and Longhirst Village Hall on Sunday, March 15.
