A fun-filled variety show which is loosely based around the war years is being staged in Glendale this weekend.
Wooler Community Panto Group’s upcoming production, entitled Keep Calm and Wooler On, will feature an array of entertainment, from comedy sketches to music.
The show is being staged in the village’s Glendale Middle School at 7pm tomorrow and Saturday. There is also a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
The production comes on the back of last year’s performance of Peter Pan and it will feature songs from the war years.
It is hoped that the audience will join in with the singing during the show.
There will be various acts, from the panto cast to individual performances from local talent.
The local Scouts and Cubs will also be performing, while Showoolerwaddy will be making a return appearance by popular demand.
One of the highlights of the production will be a homage to The Sound of Music.
The Panto Group raises money annually for local charities and has added to the Wooler Christmas Lights display for the past couple of years.
Tickets for the show are priced £5 adults and £3 children (five-16years). They are available from Brands Newsagents, Farm to Freeze and Mike Hope of Wooler.
