Creative youngsters will be given the chance to show off their flair and imagination in a series of special workshops at Alnwick Playhouse.
From Thursday, August 15, to Saturday, August 17, the venue presents its Summer Film-making Project.
This will be followed by the Alnwick Summer School for Young Writers, from Tuesday, August 27, to Thursday, August 29.
The film course, run as part of The Wonders of The North Festival, will see a group of 10 to 15 young people working with a professional film-maker.
All sessions will be from 11am to 4pm, and are free.
Anyone who is a young filmmaker/script writer or actor and would like to get involved should email firstname.lastname@example.org or drop into the box office with a short paragraph about themselves and their contact details.
The Young Writers’ summer school is geared at those aged 12 to 19 and is free to attend.
Each day will focus on a new genre; Dark fiction (August 27), script-writing (August 28) and photography/poems (August 29).
The workshops, from 11am to 4pm, will be led by professional writers and will be suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced writers.
Youngsters can attend as many days as they like. To sign up, visit tinyurl.com/lsu6srs
