Following the success of supper-club events in 2013 and 2014, the next two months see the return of a collaboration between Newcastle-based provider Anna Hedworth and The National Trust.
Anna, of The Grazer, said: “Last summer, we hosted some incredible evenings at Lindisfarne Castle and on the Farne Islands.
“The sun shone, guests enjoyed their amazing surroundings, and ate and drank into the night.
“We are offering you the opportunity to experience this once again, with two Summer Supper Clubs being held on the upper battery of Lindisfarne Castle.”
The evenings’ dining includes aperitifs and canapés, a set four-course sharing menu including chilled cucumber and yoghurt soup with hot smoked salmon, dressed crabs, langoustine, slow-cooked Northumberland spring lamb, samphire, shoots, flowers, plentiful puddings, matched wines, coffees, teas and treats.
Claire Ashby, visitor experience manager for The National Trust on the Northumberland coast, added: “We are delighted to once again be working with Anna to host these very special supper-club events in such a unique place as Lindisfarne Castle – the evenings will include a private guided tour and the opportunity to enjoy delicious food, either on the Castle’s upper battery if the sun is shining or in the very intimate Ship room, at one of the most iconic, beautiful venues in the North East.”
The events at Lindisfarne Castle take place on Saturday, May 30, and Saturday, June 13. Spaces are limited and tickets, priced at £99 per person, can be booked by phoning the Castle’s event line on 01289 389902.
