The first in a series of high-class summer concerts in Upper Coquetdale is being staged later this month.
English baritone Sir Thomas Allen and his accompanist Caroline Dowdle will perform at Alwinton Church.
The recital will feature songs by English, German and American composers that remember and touch on the experience of the First World War.
The concert takes place on Sunday, May 17, starting at 3pm.
It kicks off an exciting summer schedule of live music at the church.
On Saturday, June 6, virtuoso pianist Kenneth Hamilton will perform a programme of fantasies, including music by Chopin, Liszt and Scriabin.
An exciting and recent music-theatre work by Nicola LeFanu based on a Japanese story, Tokaido Road, will be staged on Saturday, June 27.
Then, virtuoso duo Chris Stout and Catriona McKay will share a concert with the Tempest Flute Trio on Saturday, July 11.
These last three concerts start at 7.30pm. There is also a free Japanese music workshop at 2pm on June 27. For information, including ticket details, visit alwintonconcerts.org
