An initiative which aims to showcase the stories of a 19th century Scottish writer to contemporary audiences has launched the first of a series of films.
The Wilson’s Tales Project pays homage to John Mackay Wilson, who produced the six volume Tales of The Borders.
The first film, The Monomaniac, was shot entirely on location at Borders-based Paxton House.
It tells the atmospheric and haunting story of the misadventures of a young bride travelling with her husband to India.
The piece will be submitted to this year’s Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival, which takes place in September, and is the first of a planned series of films, which will all eventually form part of a new pop-up museum.
