A Coquetdale exhibition centre is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and will be marking the occasion with some new events.
The Coquetdale Arts Centre, in Rothbury, has always encouraged talent.
And members and visitors past and present are invited to the gallery next weekend to recognise its significance.
It will be opening up to visitors next Saturday for people to take a look at its current exhibition, extensive range of crafts, and for some, symbolic red cake and refreshments.
In addition to this, the centre will be hosting a series of autumn workshops. They will take place each Saturday until October 17, running from 10am to 4pm.
This Saturday, Tony Montague will be demonstrating in acrylics different autumn colours. The following weeks include Clifford Willaim Blakey on Saturday, October 3, who will be demonstrating autumn in the Cheviots in watercolour.
To book any of the classes, call 01669 621557.
The ruby celebrations take place on Saturday, September 26, from 11am to 3pm.
