THE legendary Status Quo will be rocking all over Alnwick this summer.
The band will be playing in the Pastures on Saturday, August 20.
The Quo have had over 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock band in history, including 22 top 10 singles.
Across their 40-plus-year career, the group has released 28 studio albums so they have a wealth of classic tunes to draw on – they can play Whatever You Want!
And if that wasn’t enough, they are going to be ably supported by the thinking man’s rock band of the 1970s 10cc.
The group have released 11 studio albums across the years, mainly between 1973 and 1983 when they split up before regrouping in the 1990s.
They are perhaps best known for the 1978 number one single Dreadlock Holiday but had nine other top 10 singles including Rubber Bullets and I’m Not In Love, which both hit the top spot as well.
On the day, the music begins at 6.30pm with Status Quo hitting the stage at 8.30pm. At around 10.30pm the show will be rounded off with a grand firework display – the promoters guarantee oohs and aahs.
Tickets for the concert are £35 each with 10 per cent discounts for group bookings of more than 10. Children from five to 15-years-old cost just £15.
We have five pairs of tickets to the winners of today’s great competition.
