To mark a golden 50 years since the Fab Four discovered they were to each be awarded an MBE in May 1965, The Cavern Beatles hit Alnwick later this month.
The tribute act will be performing at the Playhouse on Wednesday, May 27, at 7.30pm.
Cavern Beatle Rick Alan said: “It is incredible that The Beatles’ music is still as powerful and relevant today, half-a-century since the band found out about being awarded an MBE from the Queen and Prime Minister.
“I can only describe it as an honour to perform their music, in association with The Cavern Club on tour.”
On February 9, 1961, The Beatles made the first of their 292 appearances at the now legendary Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool.
As official ambassadors of ‘the most famous club in the world’, The Cavern Beatles are back on tour in the UK and are bringing to the stage in Alnwick the music that has influenced three generations.
The Cavern Beatles are widely regarded as being as close to the real thing as it’s possible to get.
Be prepared to enjoy all the hits of the Fab Four in a two-hour show that is completely live with breath-taking attention to detail, even extending to the use of exact reproductions of 1960s instruments.
All of the equipment seen on stage is the same as that used by the Beatles wherever possible.
Tickets, £17.50, £18.50 premier, are available from the Playhouse on 01665 510785 or www.alnwickplayhouse.co.uk
