HE has been described as one of the premier guitarists, singers and songwriters on the roots ‘n’ blues scene.
And he has been lauded as one of the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists of all time.
Now, American-born Brooks Williams makes a return to popular music session, Rothbury Roots.
Williams has been wowing audiences worldwide for nearly 24-years with his silky voice, hook-laden songs, and rollicking acoustic and resonator slide guitars, delivering the deepest and most intense interpretations of everything from early blues songs to his recent original compositions.
Now based in Cambridge, he has gigged with the likes of Taj Mahal, John Hammond, Paul Jones and Billy Bragg, and has performed at the Ards Guitar Festival, Trowbridge Festival, Kerrville Festival, Priddy Festival, Crawley Blues Festival, Guitar Stars Festival and Marlborough Jazz Festival.
With a string of CDs to his name, Baby O! charted at Number 29 in 2010 for Album Of The Year, while The Time I Spend With You (Williams’ 2008 release) featured three top 10 singles.
A respected teacher and writer, Williams regularly leads guitar and songwriting workshops throughout the world. He has two instructional DVDs on Woodhall Music-Canada, Blues Guitar Basics and Guitar Groove.
