Festival audiences can take a tour of Italy and raise money for a North East hospice along the way.
A Grand Operatic Tour of Italy, on Saturday, November 22, from 6.15pm at Guyzance Hall, is supporting St Oswald’s Hospice.
Guests are taken on ‘a journey to the heartland of opera and romance’, with a night of music, entertainment and a three-course gourmet Italian meal.
The concert starts in Venice and travels throughVerona, Milan, Pisa, Florence and Rome before finishing in Naples. It combines great opera with lots of laughs and more than a few fascinating facts.
Music includes Nesun Dorma, O Sole Mio, Time To Say Goodbye and Finiculi Finicula.
Presented by Mark Langley, it features soprano Anna Clare Monk, tenor Graham Campbell Russell, baritone Paul Gibson and accompanist Anthony Kraus.
Tickets cost £64 per person and include admission to the concert, a pre-concert drink with canapés and a three-course dinner with coffee.
