The stakes are high as the search continues to find the best musical talent in the county to play a free festival.
The winner of this year’s Northumberland Live Talent Competition, organised by Northeast Press, publishers of the Northumberland Gazette, Morpeth Herald and News Post Leader alongside Tweeddale Press’ Berwick Advertiser, will get their big break in the music industry by performing to thousands at this year’s Northumberland Live music festival.
The lucky winners will share the same stage as headline act, The Christians, at the free music festival to be held on Blyth Beach on Saturday, August 23.
Bands or solo artists who live or work in Northumberland must send a link to YouTube of themselves performing.
The best will be invited to compete in a live final at The Phoenix Theatre, in Blyth, on August 15.
In front of a live audience and a panel of industry experts, the team of judges will decide which lucky winner or winners will go through to play at Northumberland Live the following weekend.
To be eligible to enter, at least one member of the band, or the solo artist, must live or work in Northumberland.
Entries are welcome from all genres of music and both solo artists and bands are welcome.
Entrants must be available in the week leading up to Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 23.
