An international guitar star will be strumming his stuff in Rothbury this week.
Steve Phillips, who along with his friend Mark Knopfler is a former member of The Notting Hillbillies, will perform at The Queen’s Head tomorrow (Friday).
The musician has earned a reputation as one of the best blues guitarists in Europe.
He will be joined for the Rothbury gig by The Rough Diamonds.
The group is a quartet of multi-instrumentalists, who are equally at home playing blues, country, jazz and roots music.
This will be a rare performance outside their native Yorkshire, and promises to be a great evening of entertainment.
Doors open at 8pm.
Tickets cost £8 in advance from The Queen’s Head, Rothbury, or £10 on the door.
