New night set to launch as offshoot of free summer festival

A free evening of entertainment is being offered later this month at a new Open Stage Night being launched by Glendale Music Festival.

It takes place at the Black Bull in Wooler on Tuesday, January 21, from 7.30pm.

“We’ve come across some great amateur and semi-professional musicians and singers in the course of organising our July festival and we thought it would be a good idea to provide a stage where they can enjoy performing in front of an audience on a regular basis,” said Bob Snooks, who chairs the festival committee.

“So we decided we’d run a monthly open stage night in Wooler. It means members of the public get a free evening’s entertainment and local musicians get a chance to perform in public.”

Anyone who would like to find out more can ring Bob on 01668 282165, email him on or turn up at the pub on the night at 7.30pm.

The Glendale Music Festival is part of Glendale Gateway Trust.
