A highly-regarded Northumberland chamber choir will be making sweet music with a Brit-Award winning trio at Alnwick Playhouse tonight.
The Rock Festival Choir will be supporting international singing group Blake, who are appearing at the venue as part of their UK tour.
The local performers will sing some all-time great music with Blake, including Jerusalem, You Raise Me Up and Nessun Dorma, as well as performing one of their own pieces.
Peter Brown, choral Director of the Rock Festival Choir said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to support the award-winning Blake, who tour the world and have made many television and radio appearances, including Songs of Praise.
“We are really looking forward to this very special concert.”
Blake’s harmonious sound and musicality enable them to perform a wide-ranging repertoire, from opera to popular songs.
Hot on the heels of Il Divo and Collabro, these award-winning harmonisers will present new songs, in what is set to be their most uplifting live show yet.
Inspired by the lush trio harmonies of The Three Tenors, The Bee Gees and The Lettermen, the lads will perform exclusive songs from their latest album, In Harmony, along with hits from their four other award-winning pop/classical albums, including Fields of Gold, Bring Him Home, Nessun Dorma and Chasing Cars.
Fresh from tours to the USA, Russia, Korea and China, expect plenty of banter and stories from the lads.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are £21.50 premier, £20.50 standard and £19.50 conc.
