THE rock ’n’ roll revivalists Showaddywaddy are back on the road for 2012.
The group, long established as Europe’s most successful exponents of retro-inspired rock and roll, had 23 top-40 hits, including 10 top-five hits, Under The Moon of Love, When, You Got What It Takes, 3 Steps To Heaven, Hey Rock & Roll and 15 massive-selling albums, so this is an opportunity to hear all your favourites.
Showaddywaddy kicked off their 2012 live dates at the end of January.
This gig also marked the first live performance of the revised line-up, featuring Romeo Challenger on drums, Rod Deas on bass, Paul Dixon on guitar, and now joined by Andy Pelos on lead vocals, Dean Loach on keyboards and Rob Hewins on drums.
It includes two drummers for the first time since the glam days of the ’70s, and promises to be an adrenaline-fuelled nostalgic treat.
The group will be taking in venues all over the UK right through until June and will be playing many of their hits and more, including tracks not played live for many years.
2012 is sure to be another exciting year for Showaddywaddy!
