An acclaimed musician from the band Lindisfarne is next in the line-up at Rothbury Roots next week.
Rod Clements is no stranger to the monthly music night as he was one of the founders in 2001.
Rod was in Lindisfarne at the beginning and is in Lindisfarne now but also produces acclaimed solo projects too.
The career of Rod Clements reads like a who’s who of contemporary British folk roots. After three decades in the business spanning more than 30 albums and several chart hits, Rod is ‘a man carving his own unique furrow in his own inimitable style’.
Rod’s solo gigs see him revisiting classic Lindisfarne songs, gems from various projects over the decades as well as roots blues material that was, and remains, a great musical influence.
He will be on stage at Rothbury Roots, at the Queen’s Head, Rothbury, on Thursday, February 23. Doors open at 7.30pm, event starts 8pm and admission is £10.
