An American singer-songwriter is making a welcome return to a popular Seahouses venue this weekend and will be the closing act for the 2015 music season.
Krista Detor will return to the poular St Cuthbert’s House Bed and Breakfast on the same week her sixth album is released worldwide.
Her new album Barely, has already received warm praise from critics across the globe with her previous albums making the top 10 in the US Folk and Independent Music chart.
The house concert will be the last in this year’s series to be held in St Cuthbert’s House, a restored former church and award-winning B&B.
The popular venue has already hosted a wide range of different acts across the year and this last show is one not to be missed.
Owner Jeff Sutheran said: “Krista played here almost two years ago, and she made a deep impression on those who were here that night.
“It’s a great privilege to be bringing her back again.
Her music is vulnerable and insightful, sometimes mournful but always hopeful.
“She is the real deal – a serious and very thoughtful and intelligent writer, and an incredible musician.
“She brings intelligent, always unpredictable and always beautiful music. When asked if she could return, she accepted in a heartbeat.”
Detor hails from Indiana, USA, and has become well established and respected as a serious singer-songwriter over her career spanning six albums.
She returns once again this Saturday with her partner and guitarist David Weber, and bassist Mike Lindauer.
