Budding horticulture enthusiasts are in for a treat as Guyzance Hall throws open its gardens for the day, in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice.
For one day only, on Sunday, September 14, landscaped gardens and unspoilt woodland of the privately-owned, 19th Century country house, will be open to the public.
As well as exploring the Estate grounds, which include a walled garden with gazebo, a topiary garden, a kitchen garden with greenhouse, and the vast south lawn, visitors to the Secret Garden will be served cream teas and can partake in a game of croquet on the lawn.
Tickets for The Secret Garden cost £5 per adult and £3 per child, with all proceeds going to St Oswald’s.
The event runs from 11am to 4.30pm. Contact on 0191 246 9123.
