A group of eye-catching creations will be taking over a north Northumberland village next weekend when Rennington hosts its annual scarecrow festival.
The popular event is on the bank holiday weekend when around 30 scarecrows will be put on display.
The first festival was held in 1999 as a means of raising money for improvements to the village hall.
Now in its 16th year, the event hopes to be as successful as ever with the opportunity to give donations towards Rennington Village Hall’s running costs.
The festival is organised by the building’s management committee.
In addition, All Saints Church will have live music, homemade refreshments and will be adding their own scarecrows to the day.
The event will run from noon until 4pm on Saturday, August 29.
