Festival promises to be day of family fun

This year’s Glendale Festival is due to kick off in Wooler on Sunday, July 19 at noon and run until 9pm.

It promises a series of different games and activities that the whole family can join in, including live bands, circus-themed street entertainment, childrens activities, wool crafts and stalls including ones selling local food.

Tyneside singer Sam Gibson is lined up to kick off the music on the main stage and will be followed by various live bands.

Also many children’s activities will be put on including a paint-a-thon and two fancy-dress competition, one for the under-10s ands another for children aged 11 to 16.
