Alnwick and District Choral Society presents its Spring Concert this weekend.
The group will performing two great choral works – Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Handel’s Coronation Anthems – in the wonderful acoustic of St Paul’s Church, in Alnwick.
The choir is very fortunate in having talented members Veronica Gilbert (soprano), Margaret Watchorn (alto), Richard Bishopp (tenor) and Eric Brown (bass) singing the solo parts in The Nelson Mass.
Sunday’s concert promises to be an evening filled with glorious music, conducted by Peter Brown with organ accompanist Alan Gidney.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Admission at the door is £10. Students receive free entry.
