As the nights draw in and with Christmas just around the corner, the Glendale Agricultural Society (GAS) is inviting those with a passion for bouquets to its new Festive Floral Demonstration.
And the pre-Christmas warmer is not just about the flower arranging, with prosecco available on arrival and an afternoon tea to be served after the demonstration.
A new event for the society this year, the session will be presented by Christine Ogle, from Lavender’s Blue Florists.
A specialist in the floral industry for more than 25 years and based in Morpeth, Christine will be revealing her secrets and tips to create the perfect festive bouquet.
Rachael Tait, secretary of the Glendale Agricultural Society, said: “We are very proud to introduce the Floral Art Demonstration and Afternoon Tea to our curriculum of activities this year.
“It is fair to say that the Floral Art Display is one of the countless key highlights of Glendale Show.”
This afternoon event is one of several activities the society holds for its members during the year, including Glendale Show, which took place in August.
It will be held on Tuesday December 4, at Lowick Village Hall, at 1.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased from the show office by calling 01668 283868 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
