This winter, Northumberland will be getting its very own celebrity chef when John Burton-Race checks in to Otterburn Castle Hotel for three special evenings.
The two-Michelin-starred chef will be cooking up a winter menu of locally-sourced dishes for guests on Monday, November 23, and Monday, December 7. He will return on Monday, January 25, 2016, to host a one-off Burns’ Night dinner.
Otterburn will also be hosting special Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve menus devised by the celebrity chef.
Burton-Race, who has been appointed consultant chef for the hotel, said: “I am a huge fan of the whole of Northumberland, but Otterburn in particular has really captured my heart.
“The range and quality of ingredients on the doorstep of Otterburn Castle are unique to the area.
“It’s a testament to variety of food on offer that we can cook each evening with the freshest ingredients that have been picked, foraged and sourced that day.
“I am looking forward to bringing that food to these seasonal dinners and celebrating winter in Otterburn.”
Celebrity chef John Burton-Race began his career working for renowned chef Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Buckinghamshire.
