The Sense of Place exhibition at the Bailiffgate Museum is a display of work by members of Felton Art Group.

The group is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.

It is led by professional artist Jo Hume, whose inspirational leadership has helped lots of amateur artists find confidence and develop their own unique style.

Jo, a highly respected local painter, is particularly inspired by the wild rugged landscape of Northumberland.

Jane Mann, volunteer at the musuem, said: “In the depths of winter I think lots of people will be cheered by the colour, energy and diversity of the work on display.

“Bailiffgate has the best gallery space in the area and I know people will enjoy a visit.”

The display opened this week and will be on show until March 11.
