The first in a planned series of featured artists’ exhibitions at an Alnwick gallery opened last week.
Last Thursday, the Bakehouse Gallery and Gift Shop hosted a preview evening for an exhibition of Hipsburn artist Francesca Simpson’s work.
Running until Saturday, December 28, Francesca’s new winter-themed coastal landscape paintings as well as selected prints are now in pride of place on the gallery walls.
“I am particularly pleased to be exhibiting so close to home, which has provided much of the inspiration for my paintings,” she said.
It comes on the back of the gallery’s relaunch in July, after owner Fiona Stanley teamed up with Samphire Bay business partners, Helen Holden and Julia Smith.
It is now seeking to further its appeal by exhibiting the work of selected, most northern, artists.
