NINETEEN students from Alnwick Academy of Dancing set sail on a cruise around the Greek Islands and Turkey.
The dance troupe went on board The Louis Lines Cristal cruise liner with two specially choreographed routines of six and eight minutes to perform at the professional shows.
The team of dancers, aged between 10 and 20, visited Greek islands such as Mykonos, Santorini and Crete during the week-long journey, as well as trips to Athens and Istanbul.
Principal teacher Carole Moseley, who was overseeing the trip, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for these students, it gives a great insight into the working life of a dancer while aboard a cruise.”
Meanwhile, pupil Hannah Breeze from the academy’s Amble branch, run by Joanne Burn, has been accepted on to the Royal Ballet Junior Associates training scheme and will start classes in September.
