Like never before and for the very first time it will light up the 18th century Georgian gardens at the National Trust’s Gibside, on selected dates from December 11 to 30, 2020.

Dazzling lights, lanterns, fantasy and fire, it promises to bring some much-needed festive cheer in the building up to Christmas.

And you could be amongst the first to see it, for free. We have four family tickets to be won for the opening night, on Friday, December 11.

Discover a magical trail for all the family set within the beautiful landscape of Gibside, near Rowlands Gill, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.

As twilight falls the magic will begin. Expect the unexpected with fairies dancing in the trees, fiery fish and woodland wildlife sculpted in willow as you stroll beside the Grand Avenue into an enchanting landscape filled with wonder.

Lit by lanterns, wander between flickering flames and beside stately majestic trees from one amazing space to another.

Within this fiery interpretation of stars and spheres, illuminated flora and fantasy, there are moments of reflection and playful discovery set to a soundscape that will inspire and intrigue.

The hour-long discovery trail has been specially designed for visitors of all ages to enjoy, created by Culture Creative and brought by leading events promoter Raymond Gubbay Limited, a division of Sony Music and hosted by the National Trust.
