Thousands to attend Mighty Dub Fest at Alnwick Castle with new ultrafast broadband

Over 8000 people, campervans and vehicles are expected to flock to the pastures of Alnwick Castle this weekend (June 13 – 15) for Mighty Dub Fest.

Director, Katy Emmett said; “We’re four days in on set up and it’s mega. We’re expecting hundreds of VW campervans and vehicles to arrive from 12pm on Friday and there are multiple tents, workshops, stages, fairground rides and people on site setting up.”

For the first time in the festival’s 15 years, Alncom who sponsor the festival, have connected ultrafast broadband to the pastures meaning that festivalgoers can choose to pay by card or cash at trade stalls.

Katy added: “Operationally this is a game-changer for us as event organisers as communications across such a large site is paramount for safety and organisation. Fibre to a field, we’re all amazed and as sponsors they have provided this free to support the community and the event.”
