And this year Christmas show is full of sparkly promise, with the talented team behind last year’s smash hit panto back again - this time with their very special version of Cinderella.

Packed with magical moments and cracking comedy, The Maltings’ Cinderella is suitable for everyone, making it a perfect treat for all the family!    

And without a doubt there’ll be lots of fun, song and delightful costumes, bringing the magic to The Maltings, from December 9 to January 3, 2024 . . . and your invitation awaits.

Who’s who?

Cinderella has been written and directed by The Malting’s very own Wendy Payn and produced by the same team who thrilled audiences with Aladdin, Snow White and last year’s best-selling Ali Baba and the Four Tea Thieves.

This year’s festive extravaganza also sees the return of some very familiar faces, including the Maltings’ number one Dame, Euan McIver as Twinkle Pinkleton.

Euan is a firm favourite with panto audiences, and has worked alongside some of the great names in Scottish theatres, including the legendary Stanley Baxter.

He’ll be playing as one of Cinderella’s stepsisters alongside Emma Boyd, who’ll be Tinkle Pinkleton.

Also appearing will be Cameron Ivor (Ali Baba 22) as Prince Reginald, John Stenhouse as King Barty, newcomer Chloe Millar as Cinderella and the Maltings very own Ross Graham as Buttons, Wendy Payn as Pinkie Pinkleton and Charlotte Summers as Fairy Dandelion.  

While as always, The Maltings’ production team has been busy behind the scenes making sure this year’s panto has extra sparkle, with costumes and set that are sure to dazzle.

Cinderella will be performed at The Maltings, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, from December 9 to 3 January 2024 with a choice of matinee and evening performances and performances especially for schools.

The performance on Sunday, December 17, at 12 noon will also provide a British Sign Language interpretation and audio description.
