Amble singer to release new single followed by new album

An Amble singer-songwriter who secured his first record deal at the age of 44 is in for a busy festive season.

Brian English, who has been writing songs since he was a schoolboy, was recently signed up by K Dragon Records who released his first album, A Sentimental Alien, in October.

The first single, Time Ran Away, is already out and the follow-up single, The UFO Encounter, is out on December 16.

This will be followed by the release of his second album, English Times, on January 8 and the first single from it, Unforgettable Star, on January 19.

“K Dragon Records are happy with the progress and will promote both albums,” revealed Brian. “The songs have been played on quite a few online radio stations.”

His music is available on various digital platforms and he hopes it will all be available on CD eventually.

Brian has been recording for many years with Ally Lee at Mill Studios in Alnwick.

In 2017, he paid tribute to his home town in the song Amble Town which has now had more than 45,000 views.

The video, filmed and edited by Andrew Bryson Photography, shows Brian in places in Amble, including the war memorial and Harbour Village.

He has also used his own mental-health struggles to pen an inspirational track, Panic Attack, about living with anxiety.

As part of his awareness attempts, Brian – who suffered with anxiety in the 1990s – also produced a self-help video on the Facebook page Understanding Anxiety by Brian English.
