Acclaimed pianist Rose McLachlan announces Blyth concert this November
Multi award-winning pianist Rose McLachlan will perform in Blyth this November.
Taking place at the Yamaha Music School on Sunday, November 8, the concert is part of the school’s weekly concert series, which features local and visiting musicians.

Rose said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Yamaha Music School in Blyth.
“I came for the first time last year and really enjoyed performing on such a lovely instrument to such a warm and enthusiastic audience.
"This concert series is such a fantastic initiative to bring classical music to a wider audience.”
Rose grew up in a family of musicians and began piano lessons with her father at the age of seven.
She went on to study at Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music and is now at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her competition successes include the overall prize at the 2016 Scottish International Youth Prize, overall victory in both the 2019 Beethoven Piano Society of Europe junior competition and the “Dora Pejacevich” competition in Croatia, and the Musicians’ Company Silver Medal in 2022.
Rose has performed with leading orchestras and soloists across the country.
In 2023 she appeared with the Hallé at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
In September 2024 she performed Mozart’s triple piano concerto alongside internationally acclaimed pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet and the Manchester Camerata.
The performance was broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and will be released on the Chandos label.
Steven Moore, operator of the Yamaha Music School, said: “We are honoured and delighted to host a talent like Rose at our Blyth venue.
“She will receive a warm reception from our staff and from the audience who join us each week for our concert series.”
