The story of one of Scotland’s most important art collectors and his impact on Berwick will be told in a new exhibition at the town’s Granary Gallery.
Berwick’s Burrell Collection opens on Saturday, February 7, and is the result of a partnership project between Berwick Museum and Art Gallery and Berwick Visual Arts, with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It tells of Sir William Burrell and one of the most significant, but perhaps least well known art collections in the region.
The display is the culmination of a six-month project in which volunteers have undertaken research to find out more about Burrell during his time in Berwick.
