Wins for Alnmouth, Tillside and Warkworth cricket

David Anderson top scored with 26 as Percy were all out for only 61 with Paul St4aker taking 3-0 and Nicholas Denton 3-21. Alnmouth needed only 13 overs to chase it down at 62-3 with Dushan Hermantha on 43 not out.

In Division 2, Alnwick 1sts lost by two wickets away to Backworth 1sts. Andrew Stewart was 43 not out and there was 41 from Matthew Stewart as Alnwick out on 178-8, Chris Liddle taking 4-41. Backworth were 180-8 in reply with Paul Robson on 39 and John Duncan and Mark Minto both on 36. Matthew Stewart took 3-27.

Tillside 1sts won by six wickets away to Bates Cottages 1sts. Bates were 128 all out with Saeem Korum on 28, Matthew Whitty taking 4-24. Whitty then hit 51 not out as Tillside chased it down at 134-4 in 30 overs.

In Division 3, Warkworth 1sts won by six wickets at home to Whickham 1sts. Whickham were all out for only 64 with Tom Burnett taking 6-29 and Adam Hall 4-7. Warkworth needed only 16 overs to reach 67-4 with Matthew Hall 35 not out.

Alnwick 2nds were forced to concede their game in Division 5 at home to Cramlington 2nds, and Tillside 2nds also found themselves without a game when Bates Cottages 2nds conceded.

Warenford lost by six wickets away to Bedlington 2nds. Brian Thompson hit 25, but Waren were all out for 95 with Cole Moscrop taking 3-23. Bedlington were 96-3 in reply with Callum Easton on 52 not out.

In Division 6, Warkworth 2nds beat Howick by 40 runs. Chris Glass was 67 not out as Warkworth put on 131-7 in their 40 overs. Howick were all out for 91 in reply with opener Adam Riley top scoring on 34. Rory Wilson took 5-20 following a good spell with the ball.

Rock had a big nine wicket won over Stobswood 2nds. Karl Watson hit 51, but Stobswood were all out for 92 with Thomas Parkinson claiming 3-11. Rock needed 27 overs to reach their target at 94-1 with Kevin Wilson 38 not out and George Cockayne 32 not out.

Wooler were forced to concede their away game against Embleton, which meant 30 points for the home side.
