WHAT a difference a day makes.

North Northumberland League golfers will readily testify to this for, after a glorious sunny day on Friday, it was all change on Saturday for the Kaims Country Park-sponsored League Open Day over the Alnmouth Village course.

The sunshine was gone and it was overcast, cool and windy.

Some good scores were recorded, the best being a nett 65, five shots below the day’s competition scratch score, by Ian Milne of Percy Wood, followed by Craig Simcoe of The Village with 67.

Best gross was 72 by the host club’s Richard Campbell and Simon Olver from Seahouses.
