The game of the week in the Alnwick Premier Darts League took place at the George, who hosted the John Bull.
The match didn’t disappoint, the singles matches were drawn 2-2, the doubles went 1-1, and the team games stood at one leg each. It was all down to the last double in the last leg and could have gone either way. The Bull got the all-important dart to sneak the match by 4-3 to remain in second spot in the league and set up a mouth-watering clash against league leaders the Travellers next week.
In the game at the George, Lee Harrison again led the Bull from the front with a 180 and a 120 check-out, with Chris Copper also hitting a good finish, going out on 112.
The Travellers, meanwhile, march relentlessly on, winning 6-1 away at Alnwick Working Men’s Club B, with John Dennis once again the club’s top performer with a superb 119 finish.
TeamDinga turned in another solid performance, winning 5-2 at home against the Oddies B. The Oddies have struggled a little this season but if they continue to play like this they will surely start to pick up points soon.
