Strong start leads to a home win for Alnwick

Alnwick and Boulmer Netball Club

Alnwick & Boulmer played an excellent match against Bedlington at home.

The teams were evenly matched from the first whistle with both sides having to work hard when in possession of the ball.

The pace was quick and the passing fast.

Alnwick won the first quarter by nine goals to eight.

In the second quarter, Alnwick demonstrated strong attacking play and excellent defending, resulting in several turnovers throughout the court.

It meant that by half-time, Alnwick had extended their lead to 15-11.

Alnwick continued to dominate in the third quarter with strong shooting from the home side.

They were determined to hold on to their lead in the final quarter, but Bedlington started to fight back.

However, it was too little, too late and Alnwick continued to outplay their opponents.

The home side won the match overall by 37 goals to 29.
