Alnwick went down to a seven wicket defeat when they faced Morpeth in the Northumberland and Tynside Senior League (Division 2) at the weekend.
Alnwick batted first and made a solid start.
Forrest fell just one run short of his half century, and with the score at 124-3 they looked as if they were on for a big score.
Scott made 33, Lobb 22 and Wright 21, but as the Morpeth bowlers started to gain the upper hand the visitors struggled towards the end of their innings and ended up posting a score of 174 all out.
The Alnwick bowlers failed to have the same impact and Morpeth coasted to victory with a final score of 175-3.
The defeat leaves Alnwick 12th in the table on 63 points with Morpeth eighth on 92.
Meanwhile, Alnwick 2nds managed to achieve a thumping ten wicket victory over Morpeth 2nds.
Morpeth batted first and put on 144, but Alan Straker hit an unbeaten 89 as Alnwick replied with an impressive 145-1.
* In the Northumberland League Division 3, Embleton had a 95 run victory over Warkworth 2nds.
Paul Carss hit a splendid 134 and Tom Harrop 33 not out as Embleton put on 257-4.
John Briggs Jun then hit 55 and Graham Huitson 39 for Warkworth in reply, but they ended on 162-7 with two wickets each for John Wilkin and Philip Grey.
