Rothbury seal the title with a game to spare

With only one game left in the 2014 North Northumberland League (Bowls) season, Rothbury are home and dry as this years champions.

Their 4-4 draw away to Amble and shots total of 51-54 see them safe at the top.

It is now a question of who is going to take second place.

The fight is between Alnwick and Amble.

Alnwick put themselves in a stronger position when they won 6-2 at home to Seahouses, with a shots total of 58-47.

The last game of the season should be interesting to see who wins the fight for second place.

Wooler won 6-2 at home to Lesbury, with a shots total of 50-44.
