The battle for runners-up spot in Division A of the Alnwick Premier Darts League continues apace.

TeamDinga went down 6-1 at the Travellers, with both Steven Dunn of the Travellers, and Stu Knowles of TeamDinga, hitting 180s.

But it was not enough to prevent the Bottles A and the John Bull gaining points to open up a three-point gap on TeamDinga.

The John Bull went down fighting at home 4-3 against the Bottles Boys who are enjoying a splendid second half of the season.

Lee Harrison of the Bull though was on form yet again with a 119 check-out.

And the Bottles A kept up their hopes with a 4-3 victory over the Oddies B, with Kevin Turner of the Oddies hitting a maximum, as well as a 113 finish.

Not to be outdone, Kevin’s brother Sean also had a high check-out when he finished on 135.

Despite a John Dennis 180 it was not enough to prevent Alnwick Working Men’s Club B from going down 4-3 at home to The George.

In Division B, it was all about the 5-2 scores with Shilbottle A winning by that margin over the Market Tavern. Davy Gray hit a 180 and League Singles Champion Ritchie Robson finished in style on 121 for the Shilbottle men.

Shilbottle B also won by the same scoreline, this time against Alnwick Working Men’s Club C.

To complete the hat-trick of 5-2 scorelines, Alnwick Castle Golf Club A won at the Oddies A.

The final match of the night in Division B saw the Hotspur win 6-1 away at Alnwick Working Men’s Club C.
