Wansbeck Warrior Josh Johnstone has the crowd on their feet in latest win

Johnstone’s win over Callum McCall was his 22nd out of 23 unlicensed fights. “Callum came to fight and didn’t take a backwards step,” said Warriors coach Alan Buller, “but wherever he goes, Josh has the crowd on their feet.”
Johnstone’s stablemate JJ Sexton boxed first. The 19-year-old, in only his third fight, was up against Paul Botezatu, with the verdict going Botezatu’s way.

Sexton’s next fight is on November 11.
Johnstone and Sexton will be on the same programme again on December 17.
“Josh will be putting both of his British belts on the line in the main event, against Levi Thompson of Millennium Gym Blyth,” said Buller.
“Sexton will be fighting for a title belt – his opponent being Matt Earl from the MTK Gym in Gateshead.
“It should be an exciting night.”
