Skiers hit the slopes
A team of three Northumbrian schoolgirls competed in the Area Qualifier Race for the 2019 English Schools National Ski Championships at Silksworth in Sunderland.
Charlie Street (13), former Rothbury schoolgirl Amy Stokoe (14) and Rachel Black (14) are all pupils at King Edwards VI High School in Morpeth. Schools entered the Qualifier race from across Northumberland, North Tyneside, Newcastle, Wearside, East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire’. Results of the national squad selection are to be issued at the end of October.
