Ken Johnson competed in the Over 75 category, in which there were ten competitors.and after a first round bye he won his first two matches 3-1 and 3-0, setting up a final clash with Mike Clemson from Yorkshire.
In the final, which was a closely contested five set affair, Ken won 3-2 (11-4, 8-11, 11-8, 3-11, 11-8) after 29 minutes.
