Berwick’s new Bullets team to compete in National League

Berwick speedway fans will have a National League team to support thanks to the newly-formed Berwick Bullets.

Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley will lead the team with the rest of the line-up to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

There will now be three teams on the Berwick track, with the Bandits Academy entering the Northern Junior League, the Bullets entering the National League and the Bandits in the SGB Championship.

A club statement said: “The creation of the Bullets will be a welcome addition to the Shielfield Park fixtures in 2021 and will also truly cement Berwick’s place on the map as one of the most structured and progressive clubs currently running in the UK.

"For the first time in a long time, maybe ever, Berwick Speedway has established a complete path for young riders to go from total beginner to professional without needing to travel a huge amount of miles to get track time.”
