Alnwick still seeking first League success of season

Alnwick RFC head coach Michael van Vuuren named himself in the starting line-up as the blue and gold went down to a 30-21 defeat at Sandal.

The vastly experienced former Newcastle Falcons, Wasps, Bath and Leicester Tigers hooker joined his charges on the pitch as they are still seeking their first win in Regional One North East.

Despite another battling performance, Alnwick find themselves five points adrift at the foot of the table following five defeats and a draw in their opening fixtures.
