Alnmouth skiff at 'Worlds'​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Alnmouth Community Rowing Club, together with their skiff 'Enflaeda', have just returned home from competing at SkiffieWorlds, the World Championship for the St Ayles Class of coastal rowing boat, which is held every three years.

Racing took place on Loch Ryan in Stranraer over a 2,000m course. There were 708 crews from 56 clubs who took part, including teams from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, America, Canada, Holland and Tasmania.

Alnmouth took a team of 24 and entered nine categories. They qualified for four finals, narrowly missing out on reaching one more, with the over 60 mixed male/female crew winning silver.
