Adam strikes gold at kickboxing

Amble head coach Adam White struck gold at the World Kickboxing Organisation Open World Championships, which were held in Barnsley, South Yorkshire last weekend.

Adam, who runs the Hybrid Kickboxing Club, won gold in Low Kick Kickboxing, gold in K1 70kg Kickboxing, gold in K1 74kg Kickboxing and a silver in Boxing,

Along with Adam representing England was young Robert Howey from Thropton. Robert (17) made history by becoming the first person with Dwarfism not only to compete against able body fighters at a WKO world event, but also to come home with two silver medals, one for K1 Kickboxing and a very hard fought silver in Low Kick Kickboxing.
